TUESDAY, JUNE 29th.

Day 415 of CPT Patti's deployment. And what an historic 415 days it has been.

It must be an awesome feeling, if one can even get one's brain around it, to play a role in the liberation of an entire country, and then to watch as they are given back control of their country...kinda like being tossed the keys to a brand new convertible and being told to take her out for a spin.

I'm proud of what my darling wife has contributed to all this.

To me it almost seems like a parent (US) watching their kid (Iraq) ride a bike for the first time by themself. I think it's going to be a real historic endevor that not to many people alive today can claim to experience, the birth of a nation.

Now I know what it was like to be one of our founding fathers.

Ha, it's like when the Karate Kid got his license and he took off in the yellow convertible, with Mr. Miagi yelling BANZAI! as he drove away.

Yeah, I'm a dork. But that's a cool thought...
