SUPPOSE THEY ORGANIZED A STRIKE AND NOBODY CAME?

Hey Ba'athists! Nobody's listening to you anymore!
Nervous Baghdad parents kept children home from school yesterday, but warnings of an insurgent "Day of Resistance" and a general strike otherwise had limited impact across Iraq...

Leaflets dropped in Baghdad's streets had called for a three-day general strike and declared yesterday a "Day of Resistance," sparking rumors of planned new terror bombings...

Despite these fears, many shops in this city of 5 million people opened yesterday as usual, although fewer Baghdadis ventured out in the morning. Traffic picked up as the day wore on, however, and as people realized no wave of bombings had materialized. Schools reported very low attendance.

In Iraq's second- and third-largest cities, Basra and Mosul, there were no signs of strikes.
