BANDIT ISLAND

1/37 Armor occupies a site in Baghdad that has been nicknamed Bandit Island.

This link takes you to the web site of a Finnish architectural firm that developed the resort that occupies/d Bandit Island.

The reader says that a soldier recently returned from this area says the buildings are still reasonably intact, although looted to beat the band.
