Folks, thank you so much for the lovely outpouring of joy you have sent to us via the comments and the emails. Your goodness to us is astonishing.

Here is a pic from Sunday's reunion at the gym on Ray Barracks...

We are in front of a banner welcoming home the Gators...the company she commanded for the first 10 months of her 14 months in Iraq. In case it is too dark to read the banner says: "Gators: America called...said to tell you "Thanks".

As she looked at the words you have written, Patti's eyes misted over. See...she is very proud of what they accomplished...she just didn't know until now just how much you are too.

Welcome Home! Great picture. I have been an avid reader of the blog for the past few months, and have been rooting for the two of you. Have a wonderful time on your travels, and please consider keeping up with the blog now that your lovely wife has returned safely. Until they all come home...

Wow - both of your smiles just mist up the 'ol eyes. Thankyou to both of you for all of your sacrifices. You are such honorable Americans and I sure wish the two of you were out there as "Stars" to be the models for our youngsters of today. Toni

Welcome home and Thank You.

At various times over the last months everyone in our family has followed these posts.

My 9 year-old daughter is especially happy now that "the pretty Army lady" is home. She says "Hi" and hopes that you're not as hot now that you're out of the desert.

Our prayers for you have been answered with your safe return. May you have a long and joyous life.

Wow! Welcome Home, Patti! It really happened! I can barely believe it. I'm thrilled for you both.

Thank you for your service, Patti. It was refreshing to read about a woman my own age with such dedication to her job and our country and with such a positive outlook.

Tim, you are a great example to everyone else who is keeping the home fires burning. Your blog has been like a breath of sane air to me when I am weary from media overload and liberal overload.

Enjoy your time together (but don't foret to blog)!
